Grahmgin the Affirmation of Life, Acolyte of the Golden Sun
DescriptionBefore you is the strange oddity of a being that looks to be nearly as wide as he is tall. Barrel shaped and rather hairy in the facial region, this dwarven being stands perhaps chest high to an average human. Thick, coarse red hair covers his face in the shape of a rather lengthy beard that stretches down to the lower regions of his chest. Its length is well kempt though, and the end of his beard has been neatly tied and braided, a small mithril clasp holding it all together. The hairs upon his head match the fiery color of his beard, and their lengths have also been braided to either side of his widened cranium, hanging over his shoulder in thick braids. His face is wide, and its features thickened. His forehead is quite oversized, the brow of which is thickened with bone and casts a shadow over his copper eyes below it. Bushy eyebrows of reddened color rest atop his eyes, their coarse hairs giving them a rather wild look. A wide nose rests between his eyes, its features flattened almost completely to his face. Barely visible beneath all his hair is a set of thin, cracked lips that are only really apparent when they move to bellow out his thickly accented words. His body is rather robust, but at the same time there is not much in the way of fat upon it. Huge arms jut from his side, their thickness seeming almost uniform in circumference the entire way down them. A set of short, squat legs support him and they are anchored into a set of booted feet. His feet are enormous, their wide base seeming to give this fellow a rather strong footing.

RoleChapter 5 A reason to protect Added Sat Sep 16 10:51:35 2006 at level 1:Ever prideful of his dwarven heritage, Grahmgin had decided that his life would be dedicated to the protection of his people. A servant of the light, Grahmgin was also aware that by taking such a profession, he could as well protect all those under is radiant light. As such, he decided at an early age to seek the "path less traveled" by his kin, and become one who studied the works of healing. While he did take some ribbing from his kin, Grahmgin knew that his chosen profession was one that would provide him with much in the way of strength and also allow him a position that he felt was much lacking among his kin. It would be an opportunity to serve both his brethren and those of the light in a meaningful manner. Grahmgin, while choosing to be a healer, was not one who was lacking in the departments of strength and courage though. He knew that the blessings of protection bestowed upon him would only make him stronger, and as such he vowed to not only heal and protect, but to take up arms as well. Grahmgin was aware of the fights that lie before him, and knew that his protective supplications would be sorely needed as well. As such, he began a journey to crusade against those forces that would align themselves against his kin or those others that served the light, or were under its protection. Grahmgin made his journey out into the passes of Gol'Galath, not far from those in the outpost of the third brigade, seeking out the mighty archon known as Corlaan to further bless him and grant him power in the quest ahead.

RoleChapter 4 Empowered Added Sun Sep 24 15:23:27 2006 at level 19:Grahmgin finally found the blessings he had sought, and now felt the powers of a healer. The blessings of Corrlaan surged through him, and allowed him to protect those he had vowed to protect. He was grateful for what had been given him, and was to be mindful of what he received and vowed to see it always used to aide those he could. Corrlaan had told him that many came to him seeking to protect all, but most fell short. He spoke of how each should try and find their own personal cause to protect, and protect it greatly. This hit home with Grahmgin, and while he would do what he could to protect any of the light that needed aide or asked, his main concern was that of the dwarven kind. He knew his task would be challenging in that most of his kin were very full of pride and often would not ask for aide due to such. It would be Grahmgins task to see that they either asked or he was quick to react even when they didnt. Few were the healers of Akan, and Grahmgin knew this. As such he knew his hands would be full, and he cherished this opportunity.

RoleChapter 2 Beliefs on war Added Fri Sep 29 00:18:41 2006 at level 40:Grahmgin thought long and hard about the talks that were done today. About the entertaining of war against the Outlanders for their repeated attacks on those of the Fortress..yet..he just couldnt see himself doing it. While he abhorred the evil within it, he felt compassion for those not evil and knew that there was still a chance of redemption. Even though each of them would see him dead for his ties to Akan and the blood that ran through him, he still loved the ones of the light, and prayed for those that could still be redeemed. To this point he had learned toleration of their deeds, and hoped that living an exemplary life would help in changing what they did. He also contemplated on their Huntress and the Spirit within the Tree of Ages. He knew that while both consorted with the darkness, neither were truly.dark. And that was it, that is what held him at bay. How could they strike out at these two souls not tainted by the darkness and rip from their grasp the fetish they swore to protect?Who would stand over their lifeless bodies and feel that what they had done was right? None he associated with, he prayed. He felt Corrlaan was trying to get something out of those around when he suggested the war, but he wasnt sure quite yet what it was. Grahmgin himself though, had already placed himself as a supporter in the battles of the Fortress, not seeing how as an Acolyte he could stand amongst the raiders and still hold on to his Oath of an Acolyte. As such, he had decided that he would arrive to raids, but never join them. He would only be there to protect those that did. Granted if one showed to fight him, he would protect himself, but the actual job of raiding he would leave to the Maran. He loved his brethren, but would not take the path they had chosen. His was on of protection, not one of bloodshed and destruction.Perhaps this of itself was also a reason he wished not to see another war, it would bring more bloodshed and destruction. He had even offered to walk away from the Fortress if it meant the Outlanders would be less likely to strike at its members, and in the end save lives. He knew though that even if he left there were others whose blood they sought, and being so, Grahmgin set his mind to continue in his ways of protection and teaching of faith. He also said that whatever his elders decided he would do, and he would see them all healthy through their tribulations.
