Chapter 1

Dearest Nexana,
I regret to inform you that you were wrong about the chasm. We have struck
quite a useful little deal, wherein my services as a padfoot and murderer,
among other things, can be put to use in exchange for a taste of the power
that is consistently channeled through the shadowy rift. I will not go and
jeopardize this most profitable arrangement for your petty schemes.

However, I might be more than willing to be involved in a similar sort of
shenanigan, if the target were chosen more carefully. I have happened to
garner myself the slightest bit of trust from a few tribunals, through the
slaying of criminals. They may even think that I care for their laws,
somehow. Fancy that. They have proven quite useful in dealing with my
enemies, as it were.

It will be some time before I'll be available to meet you, for I've moved
on to grander things since we last met. In fact, I've even begun to taste
the arcane for the first time in my life. Even one so cursed as to be cut
off completely from the source at birth, may yet be able to channel even
the slightest bit of power in time. As of yet, I have been able to call
upon the Ccul'gra, albeit with aid. I dare say they make finer companions
than you ever did. Silent, strong, and deadly, and they do not tolerate
weakness, even when under the sway of whatever magics anchor them to my side.

If I were you, I would begin to prepare for the inevitable. The Chancellor
has taken many strides towards ensuring the coming night, one unlike any
other you have lived through. You would be wise to not be caught off guard
when the Eternal Night descends upon Thera. I believed little of those
rumors when I first sought the Chasm, though I will admit now that I was wrong.
The end is coming, Nexana, and I seek not to be on the wrong side when it does.

If you see fit to pursue the lead I have offered on the Tribunals, I will be
more than willing to listen to what you have to say. Otherwise, I have no use
for contact with you anymore. I have seen so many grander things since we last
parted, and I am afraid to say that you no longer hold much of a place in my
shriveled heart.

Chapter 2

Having lived a life with murder as his main goal, Robizar has accomplished
little besides that. He has grown weary of this though, and has decided to
dedicate himself to a grander cause, while still retaining his freedom to
do what he does best. The time has come for him to seek out the chasm, and
attempt to join a cause which he has been told has such grander ends than
he has ever dreamed of. He yet knows little of this secretive collective,
but is confident that his well-honed skills will be of great use. While he
seeks entry though, he still has the same options for enjoyment that have
kept him going all these years. Creating a few orphans was ever enjoyable.

Chapter 3

Robizar is a thief hailing initially from the city of Seantryn Modan,
where he oft lurked in side-alleys and seedy taverns, committing
robberies and occasional homicides in order to support himself. He
remembers little of his childhood, aside from his time in an orphanage.
He remembers having been beaten repeatedly by the attendants and the
other children. This spurred a hatred of the orphanage, as well as its
inhabitants, which eventually led to his first murder. Robizar used a
scrap of iron, found in the shoddy playground, to slay one of the
orphan bullies in his sleep. He then fled the orphanage forever, the
hatred of the other children and the satisfaction of the kill his only
luggage.

As a man, Robizar is quite impatient, and is apt to make judgements on
those who do not think or act quickly. He believes there is no room
in this world for such contemplation, when everything can come crashing
down in an instant. Robizar is not a passionate man, and feels little
for his victims, besides enjoying the sport of the hunt. It brings him
quite a cheer to be able to visit death upon others, as he conjures
images of the bully. Each and every kill reflects upon his first, helping
to ease the pain of his time at the orphanage. To boot, he enjoys toying
with his victims on occasion, as it makes him feel the part of the bully.

As of late, Robizar has borne witness to a few of the children of the fold,
and is greatly intrigued by their views and pursuits. As a common thief,
Robizar knows little of their purpose, though he seeks to study them
further, to understand their cause. The lack of empathy that these scions
show pleases him greatly, and he does enjoy the idea of the rift as a new,
grander orphanage of pain and suffering.
