So when can we expect shapeshifter edges to be in (aside from the two that went in with the forms?)

By the, I LOVE those two edges. I spun the wheel, and won big! Never needed to roll the bones. I got one of the two forms I was wanting on the first try.

Well, right now I'm working on a project that isn't shapeshifter edges. So, not likely to be extremely soon.

I also don't have enough ideas stored up for shapeshifter edges that I actually like to be a reasonably full set, even if I were free to start on them today.

October is a long month, I got tons of time!

All that being said, I've got all the forms in, all the skills defined, a bunch more balancing (including tweaking some of the offense/defense forms a bit more numbers-wise), and probably coded up half the skills I want this time. Still got a fair sized stack of work ahead of me, but I'd say I'm on track.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Post 'em. If you really don't want them seen by the general public, email them to me.

>A certain format... lined out a certain way?

Nah, I go through the forums every now and then and pull out stuff I want to do and put them on my list. I've done a ton with the suggestions I've had so far.

>and thanks for everything

It's one of my favorite classes, and one that's been neglected forever.

random request time:

since water won't be in full swing for a while, would it be possible to get maybe a partial update for them, maybe more than two forms for each for the first two tiers and make the first two tiers so unnecessarily burdening?

I'm happy with how the changes have rolled out thus far, and breaking it up even farther just feels too piecemeal to me.

Any chance we could get some info? A list with perhaps what foci and any other tidbits you wanted to share would be awesome. I'm not looking for full form stats, but any info would be neat. Now if only I had time to actually play....

I won't provide you a list, because really...that would spoil the surprise. I will tell you however that all the forms were added to the offense bucket, and you can expect similar expansion of all the rest of the buckets as I get the time to update them and add skills.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

We get to know what skills/etc other classes get. I'd be ok with shapeshifter skills having helpfiles and forms having helpfiles, but then I'm also ok with the surprise... Shapies can be different. I give you permissions. But just this once, got it?

Say you had an existing low/mid level offensive shifter. Would you need to reroll to take advantage of possibly getting one of the new forms?

Thanks!

If you have used the shapefocus major all of your major forms are set and you cannot get any of the new forms. The same for minor. If you have not yet used the shapefocus major/minor, you have the opportunity to get the new forms.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Damn that's some good stuff. Kudos to you and whoever else came up with this stuff, and thanks for coding it up. Just made shifters ALOT more interesting and diverse. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the forms themselves.

What if there are more than one of that form around? Like two shifters in ferret form. Is there a "tell ferret" and "tell 2.ferret" or what?

- Upper echelon forms get a stat bonus when shifted that is now visible in the affect list

e.g.
Physical effect: 'form bonus' modifies dexterity by 4 for -1 hours.

If bones are broken, arterys severed, etc... but the stat loss is covered by gear/boni - will you still suffer lag shifting form-to-form?

Assuming no bleeding, just typical stat loss skills building up.

Sure will. Your bones are still broken.

>Assuming no bleeding, just typical stat loss skills building

You never would have the lag based on stat loss alone, it has always been associated with certain affects.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
