I don't have the log, but I was in the middle of a fight, I entwined the other dude, put on a whip, and used sting, and his wimpy kicked in and he got out of the entwine. I didn't think that was how it was supposed to happen. Thanks

Most likely he just survived the entwine duration. It can be as short as 0 ticks.
