Basically, in that case, the ice devil's acid blast would/might arc to you, but the anti-ganging code checks to see if that's cool before the ice devil code realizes that it does not, in fact, want to acid blast its master down.

Razmorthin was alone, if you don't count charmed and bound mobs.
I am afraid of there was someone else the spell could arc at, the anti-gangin code would still work.

Correct. The code was trying to save Razmorthin, who was fighting a several people, from the devil.

There was a bug in that code that I fixed last week, but I'm not sure at which point CF rebooted with that code live. It definitely is now.
