#5285, "Two questions..."

I'm wondering if these two things I came across are by design. One, scrolls of enchant weapon simply give a "You can't do that." when used. Whahuh? Two, wall of putrid flesh doesn't stop bash. It stops throw. Why would it stop one but not the other?

Thanks,
A Necro

Cannot reproduce. My log:

recite scroll spear
You recite a scroll of enchant weapon.
A goblin spear glows blue.

Two, wall of putrid flesh doesn't stop bash. It stops throw.

By design.

I usually find my biggest problems with using enchant scrolls is that I'll use a keyword another piece of armor has. So I'll try say "recite scroll short" for a shortsword, and it will first see that I'm wearing some sort of short leggings, and say you can't enchant that. I'd guess that's likely his problem.

Remember the item to be enchanted needs to be in your inventory too.

Also, you need to be able to use a scroll of the power of your scroll.

Not sure if the above helps. Hope so.
