#4727, "archers in battlefields"

if they strip your weapon and die with it, the weapon is destroyed. Its happened 4 times so far. They strip/catch, archer dies and nothing in corpse except flail. Could be a bug.

If one of your groupmates could sneak (including autosneak) then they may have swiped the weapon without your noticing. A ranger or assassin in the area could also have been pulled it off.
Did you locate the weapons after they disappeared?
Another possibility is that your weapons were over limit and poofed when the archer died (like they would if you had died while carrying them). I'm not sure if the code works this way, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Or if the weapon was a ranger's staff/spear? Those poof when their holder dies.

took my half moon axe AND my energy axe, then died and both of them vanished. SOmething is up. Its happened about 9 times to me so far, with both limited and unlimited weapons.
