A Wider Path
A narrow trail cutting through the trees from the west widens into a full
path as it turns lazily to the south. In the corner of the turn piles of dead
leaves have been blown against the impassable brush lining the northern and
eastern edges, spilling out onto the path itself. Visible when the windfall is
swept away by the occasional wind, tracks decorate the hard packed dirt. Most
of the prints are rather small, showing a clear impression of an unclad foot.
Others however are considerably larger, made by the sole of a heavy boot, most
pointed down the southern expanse of the path.
