The thief guildmaster in Imperial Lands isn't trained in any thief path. That's fine, but the echo the player sees when trying to "study" with him is misleading. It suggests the problem is that you're not in the same room as a guildmaster when, in fact, the problem is that the guildmaster in the room with you isn't trained in a path.
