I think should be allowed to flee if you somehow find yourself fighting on a sleeping mount. Or perhaps better, not allow yourself to mount a sleeping mount.
If you do want us to be able to mount a sleeping spider/warg, we should not be able to start a fight. If we are attacked, should force a dismount, or wake the mount. Or, at least allow us to flee! I imagine I could have woke the spider but was very confusing and counterintuitive what was happening. (I'm trapped fighting because I'm on a sleeping spider?)
Also, fwiw, overhead from 'an easy kill' is cruel and unusual

A Dark Corridor
The air seems stuffy and you notice a lack of breeze in the stone tunnel.
