Just noticed that I confiscated a leader weapon and it went to the pit. I tried picking it up and it drops, but isn't it suppose to return or is this a bug with confiscatea?

The Altar of the Blood Tribunal
The stairway ends at the peak of the Spire, perhaps thirty feet below the
huge stained glass window at the top. The sunlight filtering through the
glass bathes the room in a rainbow of multi-colored light, giving it a very
serene appearance. Against the flat northern wall stands the Altar of the
Blood Tribunal, reflecting the light back at you. On the wall to either
side of the altar are elaborate carvings in the stone, lined with silver
and gold. Ornate archways lie to the east and west, leading into small
alcoves in the corners of the Spire, while the twisting stairway leads
downward, toward the base of the Spire.
