Unfortunately, that is the mechanic for every item you wear in-game. For example, when you shapeshift, things are "re-worn" in a sense when you revert to normal form. So, I would recommend using (censored) with that mechanic in mind. And, no, I won't change it to keep your (censored) at 100% at all times.
