The End of a Mountain Trail
Rock walls that are ten feet apart make up the large ravine which borders the
sides of the dirt trail. The sides of the canyon slope downwards to an area
filled with fire-razed stumps that cover the ground. A large metal post is
stuck deeply into the ground near a smoldering trunk, and a chain runs off into
the dark smoke-covered surroundings. The haze chokes the life out of the air
itself as it hangs over the destruction the flames wrought. The fires still
burn brightly to the west which creates the only light that is visible through
the darkness.
