I was observing the same rate against moudrillar monks, and those are human. Do I really have to go and gather another 50 ingredients and run my test again to prove my point? It would be much easier for an Imm to run the exact same kind of test when you can just create the poison ingredient with Imm powers than for me to knife to death 25 dark-elf scouts and 25 orcs to get 50 ingredients.
This isn't my first poisoner thief, and I remember with agonizing clarity how long it took me to perfect apply and inhaled poison skills against moudrillar monks on every previous poisoner, due to the high success rate and having to deal with:
apply knock-out monk inhaled <monk's name> shrugs off your attempt to knock him out. (1 round lag) apply knock-out monk inhaled <monk's name> shrugs off your attempt to knock him out. (1 round lag) apply knock-out monk inhaled <monk's name> shrugs off your attempt to knock him out. (1 round lag)
until I either failed the check and he "slipped out of my grasp" allowing me a chance to learn from mistakes, or until his physical sleep protection timer wore off.
This time around, I only got the "shrugs off" echo about 5 times during the entire practice time, and I went through around 1,000 ingredients before I had apply and inhaled poison at 100%
I've also failed every KO attempt against a PC thus far, and those were all non-poison resistant targets.
