When an acolyte calls altruism on a mob (maran outer guardian), it kills him outright, i.e. not set to 1hp but straight up slays. I've witnessed this once and he says it's happened a couple of times already.

Doesn't seem right at all, it has never happened to me (it's always worked so that the only danger is if the target also has some malediction which then could be fatal on the next tick).

I'm guessing the Acolyte was a shaman. We might have to update the HELP file for ALTRUISM to reflect that its use is contrary to the practices of the shaman and is therefore more costly to them (perhaps even to the point of death).

I'll let the Fortress folks decide how they want to word that.
