'SIRINE ISLAND'
Many a sailor plying the waves of the Aryth Ocean have heard the song
of these mermaids, seeing visions of beauty that would make a bard
tremble, then waking to find themselves prisoner of the sirine. Caring
little for the world that exists above the waves, the sirine dwell deep
beneath their island, in the water-filled cracks, caves and crevasses
that riddle the coral stone. Sunken ships rest at the bottom of the
ocean, testament to the power of their song. Adventurers brave (and
lucky) enough to avoid the song's hypnotic effects have managed to
penetrate the depths of the island, returning with reports of a foul
witch who dwells in the ruined remains of a rotting ship, guarded by
the sea life which she commands.
