You zap the portal guardian with an ice-rimmed disc.
As you bring your hands together, a cone of freezing ice shoots out from your fingertips.
A faerie dragon stops following you.
You fade into existence.
Your cone of cold MASSACRES a faerie dragon!
Your cone of cold >>> ANNIHILATES <<< the portal guardian!
You have become better at wands (70%)!
A faerie dragon is covered with bleeding wounds.


Is this hitting my fam and it not following me a bug?

This is operating as expected. We may want to consider writing a help file on area spells/damage though.
