I just strangled this guard and then try to walk north, and this is what happens.

You grab hold of a dwarven guard's neck and put her to sleep.

You attempt to hide.

The walls are rounded where they meet the ceiling and the floor. This tunnel has been bored out of dark granite to hold the tools and food for Khazad-dum. This part of the tunnel merely holds a large desk to keep track of the supplies coming in and being taken out of the storage area. The storage area continues to the north and the passage leads back to the east.

A dwarven guard sits here guarding the storage rooms.

A dwarven guard steps to block your path.
A dwarven guard says 'I'm sorry but I can't let you go into the storage area.'

Shouldn't a strangled guard not know you are walking past him? Or is this just for game balance like the guild guards work?
