I was playing an arial and went underwater and suffered from hydrophobia. However, I didn't notice my seaweed expire and died. When I went down as a ghost I didn't suffer from hydrophobia which is understandable as a ghost wouldn't be worried about drowning, however once I lost my ghost flag, I still wasn't suffering from hydrophobia. I would guess that once I became corporeal again that I would be worried about drowning.
