Does this change also drop them out of hearing cabal chatter? It seems it did for a recent applicant I know. Also on a side note, the giant no longer greets them.

All of this is to be consistent with how applicants work with other cabals now. They will still hear the outer getting attacked, but not the other regular cabal chatter. The giant does greet them, but only to the leaders of the cabal, not everyone.
