Hey Zulgh. I think I figured out the bug. Maybe it is the quest item in my inventory that is progging from specific attacks (fire), in turn causing me to try and spellbane the item's effect (I didn't even realize it did anything). The bug might be that it does it even when the item (ring) is not worn, but losing the item will hopefully stop it.

That was going to be my question. I thought it may have been a prog'd item (I was looking at your weapon, but it's fine). Can you let me know what the item is so I can verify, and possibly add echoes as necessary.
