You point to a war-weary storm giant and say 'Taint'.
You feel unclean.
Checked right after and the spell target isn't cursed:
c curse war-weary
You proclaim a curse upon a war-weary storm giant, but his soul remains untouched.
Also not sure if it's meant to stack like this:
You are affected by:
Skill: 'curse' modifies save vs spell by 7 for 46 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies hit roll by -7 for 46 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies save vs spell by 7 for 40 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies hit roll by -7 for 40 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies save vs spell by 7 for 39 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies hit roll by -7 for 39 hours.
Spell: 'detect magic' for 37 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies save vs spell by 7 for 34 hours.
Skill: 'curse' modifies hit roll by -7 for 34 hours.

After hundreds of casts (the spell's at 94% now), I have never been able to do anything besides cursing myself (unless there are no messages). It also seems too easy to cancellation/uncurse.

I tried the spell again on some slept lowbie mobs (young cloud giant, Happy Farmer, a farmer). Out of the 40 times I cast it, I cursed myself 4 times, and got no other messages.
I think the problem is the spell simply does not land on targets. I tried to dispel the mobs after 10+ casts of pwc on each, they were not cursed. Normal curse worked on them still, with no message about them already being cursed.
