I started to scatter(entered command), got hit by a cranial from a mob, was knocked out, mob immediately attacked, waking me up, I then scattered.

I would think that having been knocked out, scatter would have been disrupted.

It probably would have stopped successfully if you hadn't been instantly woken up.
