The guy kept unbinding hands, when you were trying to tie, and always succeeded thus thwarting your tie. Then he'd try and fail to unbind the blindfold, repeatedly.

I don't see anything wrong here (and at some point we did add a level difference in the player vs. the level of the binding to make it a bit more harder for newbie dude to unbind hero thiefs stuff)
