There seems to be a serious bug with Astral Doubleback which instantly kills you if you REJOIN in any room which doesn't contain your body. If this is unintended then could I suggest that the edge is disabled until it is fixed.

I've died to this 3 times now - once when testing the edge in my guild, once to a desparate REJOIN from a no-exit room in Hell and once to a careless REJOIN in the wrong room. I prayed after the first occurence.

log extract follows - my body was 1 room away

Shoreline of the River Styx
Stumbling through the thick black weeds of the shoreline you come
across a mud and stick hovel that has long since been abandoned.
Small clawed toe marks in the dried mud inside the hovel suggest
less than human occupants at one time. From here you can see a
walled city far to the south and the flowing river to the north,
east, and off to the west. The shoreline continues west, and to
the southeast.

(Glowing) A thaumaturgic circle is inscribed upon the ground.

Willing yourself to follow the thin cord of spiritual energy back, you retrace your way to your physical body.
Like mist slipping into a glove of warm flesh, you rejoin your material form.
Your body dies, starved without a spirit. You fade away...
You are no longer resistant to cold.
You have died, but the Carrion Fields are not finished with you yet!
Your soul is returned to the realms in the form of a ghost.
You will return to your corporeal state in a short while.
Be careful, for even a ghost should fear some dangers!
An earth elemental vanishes, its binding broken.
A transplendant archon vanishes, its binding broken.
You feel some of your vitality drain out of you with this death.
