This Yuletide, I wish that SantaUmishuli will warm the hearts of all the young, hopeful adventurers who venture into the many areas of Thera looking for discoveries that will please their guildmasters by gifting them a way to know when they ought to explore which areas.
Why is this wished for? - To encourage exploration - To discourage ooc sharing or gatekeeping of information that gives reverse-engineering min/max vets an unnecessary advantage - To make the game more fun. It is not fun not having a means to learn the tricks, other than asking others. It is fun knowing goals that can be reached and being able to reach for them if you wish. - It does not seem like this was intended to be a secret, but in fact assumed to be intuitive. But instead, it is frustrating - to be rewarded for exploring or not rewarded, and not easily know why.
How could this work?
1. update the areas output so that the max level corresponds to the level you need to be to be rewarded exploration points. Or, perhaps, add that lvl as a new column.
2. Or, provide an echo when you discuss guildmaster which names the area(s) he is rewarding you for. We can already figure this out through other means (visit area a, discuss, quit, log back in, visit area b) but they are cheesy, ooc-yucky, and break immersion.
Thanks Santa!
