How about some cooler echo's for parting blow?
Like weapon based or go even farther and actually make it to where diff weapons do diffrent parting blows..

So,
As Maran flee's you get a parting blow with your dagger.
Your stab sometings
Your stab sometings
your stab somethings
Bleeding and injured the maran escapes any further blows.

But a mace would be like
As a Maran flees you get a parting blow on him with your mace.
Your crush REALLY HURTS and might even lag or malidect them
Escape echo
