#12233, "A question on Shig-Ru masochism, if you will."

The helpfile mentions this automatic skill to be triggered when the Orc experiences 'severe pain'. I was wondering however - will masochism invoke itself in ways similar to the 'Fires of Adversity' legacy on a warrior, or does it instead require the Orc to be hit by a series of distinct attacks that each cross a certain amount of intented minimal damage?

Will, for example, this automatic skill have any impact when a Shig-Ru deliberately uses crushing assault on a warrior in order to become wittled down by the onslaught of 'eviscerates', 'dismembers' and 'massacres' that will most likely swiflty ensue? Or is the skill strictly reserved for situations were the Orc suffers significant upper case damage from distinct singular attacks, for example such as a Paladin contineously communing wrath on the Orc?
