You can't kill yourself with burning gear anymore (unless one or two slipped through the cracks). What happens now is that said piece of gear that would do dmg to you gets dropped onto the ground from your corpse if you do not have the necessary hp to take the dmg from picking it up.

One thing however that I *think* still does kill people is wearing -hp gear right after they died and it leading to their hp going less than 0 and in turn having a double death.
