People being tracked by hostile mobs, which move to the edge of an area because they can't go any further. Then they quit out. As soon as the lowbie steps into the area, they get destroyed.

I've had dire wolves kill me at the gates of Udgaard (ironically when I was a trapper with gentlewalk, so I probably shouldn't have let myself die there). Sahuagin kill me when I walk across the open sea. Drow patrollers when you step into the underdark.

You don't really expect to need to scan every time you enter an area that 99.9% of the time is safe to walk into.

I think it would be great if mobs remembered who they were after through a quit, for maybe an hour rl time, and then returned to their usual spot.
