Why is it such that you cannot rescue someone from who they are fighting if they are fighting multiple mobs? Shouldn't you be able to rescue someone from whoever they are fighting, each time, until they fight none at all?

I know this has been on the bug board and so how it is now is how it is supposed to be, and I don't understand why.
