What if we nixed the Chiefs squelch, gave him an exhile command instead and the orcs had an item that, in their possesion, gave them all their Adaptation abilities?

Piss the chief off, you get exhiled and lose them just like squelch and your hometown is reset to the Keep of Falugash (Sp?) or something.
