I don't know if it's a chicken and egg thing though - is it that more rage deleters perfect skills, or perfect skills leads to rage deletion.

I think it's two consequences of the same effect. Anyone anal-retentive enough to give a crap about making sure every skill is 100% is also anal-retentive enough to think that taking a PK death "ruins" the character enough that they should just start the whole process over.

Ironically, starting over is so much more painful for them also, since they spend so many more hours doing mundane, repetitive tasks, instead of socializing or moving up the ranks.
