Generally I would agree with that sentiment, but you have to admit CF is a little bit of a different thing. A banking system that hasn't had a code change in 20 years and is totally rock solid is a good thing; CF that way I don't think would be a good thing.
(Sure, there are games that have been largely unchanged for hundreds of years... but I'd argue they're also not quite the same situation.)
