The reason being, I have to question why I want to play a game that did something knowing full well it would infuriate players like me, and yet still did it anyway. How much of a hurry are you in to go over to a guy's house, knowing you are vegetarian, and though he knows this, he still cooks steak every night? You'd have to like his placemats and conversation a hell of a lot to start going there every night for dinner.
