I'm guessing he had his second attempt at soften in already, so by the time my insects landed, he perhaps was planning to flee, but my entwine went through before he got done with the lag from his soften.

I did regret skinning the corpse later, but at the time I was like WTF, stop sending me semi-insulting tells (which he'd been doing prior to this fight, and I, being human, was getting annoyed), and come get your ####.

Not my finest moment, but I got paid back plenty.
