Here at the center of the courtyard, small steps lead up to a fountain
which stands at the center of a cobblestone circle, with four paths leading
off in the cardinal directions. The paths are well-worn, no doubt from the
citizens who mill about this place, one of the few wide open spaces in a
very cramped city. The sun shines down from on high here, unfettered
by nearby buildings or the paltry groves of trees which have been planted
towards the edges of the courtyard.
