A very thin and treacherous trail, it winds up the mountain towards a
cliff high above you. All around you darkness seems to close in, as if
trying to stop your progress. Each step is difficult and hindered by
the encroaching darkness. Far above you can make out a dull glow, possibly
coming from the cliff. It seems to add a bit of comfort to this barren
path of jagged, and broken rock. The snow has taken a rather sickly
gray look to it, and as it falls you can't help thinking how bleak a
place these mountains are.

A Dark Narrow Path
The trail continues to wind and twist its way over the dull black
rocks, and dull gray snow. The darkness seems to have grown into a cloud
and seems to have a life of its own. It is now almost impossible to see
even your own hands. Even the blizzard seems comforting compared to this.
Above you strange lights flicker causing small pin-points of light to break
through the darkness, giving a mild amount of comfort. When you can see the
rocks, they seem to mock you, their sharp edges adding malice to the darkness
around you.

dull rocks seem sharp beneath your feet, and the air has turned very cold.
Before you a large figure stands, around him an aura of light, and warmth.
As he walks toward you his light falls upon pieces of broken armor, and
shattered bones, pieces of dark minions sent to destroy the shrine that this
large arial guards. As your boot crunches upon a piece of a blackened skull,
you can tell they haven't had much luck. Behind him and further up the path
the light has grown stronger.

you see a grand structure of white marble. On top of it the statue of a
huge phoenix, wings spread and facing upwards, seems to wait for something
to come from the skies. From within it light shines and shimmers, and a
faint humming noise can be heard. A small path of polished black and silver
marble leads north into the structure.

As you enter the temple you are almost breathless at its beauty.
Made from white marble, with tiny veins of silver running throughout
it, it is here that those branded with the phoenix plan their warfare
upon evil, and pray to Shokai. The roof is supported by many columns
that line the sides...allowing the breezes of the mountain to sweep
through the temple. The ceiling above is open in a large skylight,
and you realise that the phoenix statue you saw earlier, must be made
of some strange crystal that allows light to pass through it. Four
tapestries line the walls, one hanging in each of the cardinal directions.
The one on the northern side is made of a deep rich crimson silk, the
eastern one from what looks like white samite. The western one almost
appears to be made of woven silver, and the southern one of pure gold.

can't make much out due to the tree cover.
