And I would argue that a Village assassin rank sitting at level 36 for three or more months is the worst type of griefing that can possibly happen in this MUD. Let me explain why.

1. The reason they level sit at 36, is so they can still harm all the mages just moving into the thirties ranks.
2. NO mage in the thirties ranks is a match for a well trained Village assassin while they hold the head. (I have struck at goodie conjurers with a blazing archon, which is about the best they are going to get in the mid thirties, and a strong elemental, killed them and walked away with only a few scratches for the trouble)
3. Its called padding your PK stats, by sitting, and sitting, and just shamelessly spam killing the same mages over and over that have pretty much no chance to ever kill you in return.
4. There is no other justification for sitting at rank 36 for that amount of time, I am sure some will say but ohhh, I wanted to perfect assassinate, but you will have a much wider PK range by simply moving up three or four ranks, thus giving you more opportunites to practice assassinate. But, you will also then start having to face invokers with major shields, conjureres with transplendants and lesser archangels, charped up A-P's if there were any of them, necromancers with pwk and ghouls, not to mention that most mages now are playing hell getting any reliable A/B/S until in the mid forties at the earliest.

So yes, I would say that rank sitting at level 36 for a Village assassin for months takes ALOT of enjoyment out of the game for all those mages a certain "someone" spam killed over the course of those months, thus it is by your own definition griefing.
