I wasn't talking about gangs. And I was assuming that, once slept, the necro has enough mana and time to apply his whole array of maledicts (except maybe forget). So, weaken/poison/scourge/blind/curse and maybe power word decay.

It then boils down to three questions (for necro opponents in general, not specifically svirf invokers):

1. Can the necro kill you before you have a chance to transport yourself.

2. Assuming you manage to transport yourself, can you cure blindness. If not, you're probably dead. If you manage to cure blindness, do you have something to replenish movement. If not then you're probably still dead.

3. Assuming you manage to transport yourself and have the means to cure blindness, can the necro re-engage quickly enough (and enough times) that you exhaust your ability to keep transporting yourself.

#1 and #3 are where items come into play. Or, at least, where I'd imagine they would.
