That and any spec with a default lag attack that cannot be protected against (misdirect, pincer, cranial, crushing blow) will beat the crap out of them.
I'd also like to mention that shamans don't have default flying, so cheapshot thieves with a partner with dispel magic (invoker, transmuter, shapeshifter, staff brandisher + dispel staff, etc.) will tool them. This goes with any tripping class, but moreso with cheapshot thieves.
