First off, I'd like to have been around more often, but work and school were constantly taking up much of my time. Sorry to those who kept looking for me, only to miss me when I was about, or to those with who I couldn't give alot of attention to when we did see one another. There were a few times when I logged intending to end it, only to find something that the character couldn't let go of. It was part of Caelph's role that he almost never trained constitution, or was afraid to die, though he didn't embrace death either, he ended up heroing with I think 550 hp and under 10 con, got a teeny boost with marshalship, and then later got another con boost when he was maybe one or two deaths from the eternal twightlight and decided it was best to stick around for a little while longer... then the work/school combination really got intense, and after sept. 11th I decided if I was going to stop playing, I couldn't log on again at all. Which I havn't, just checking the graveyard now and then. I think his last death was an assassination, seemed fitting.
Caelph wasn't about pkilling, never was. I created him after playing Thermin on P.O.S., another character I had to stop because of school. This was my first wood elf, Bard, and Nexus, with the intention of exploring those, and a bit of the realm. (Surprised Kraenesk, Rybiscus?) Becoming Marshal wasn't a plan, and I thought not having typed out a role might of prevented it. I have to thank Vahlen, Jazur (I remember what you said at the time, and it might of been proven), Nol, and Sanorik for giving me the opportunity. Nexus can be very rewarding, and very frustrating. As a bard I felt like I got more than I gave from the bond, but from what I saw of other links, the abilities are excellent. There just need to be folk around to use them, and for whatever in game reason Nexites didn't show, absence isn't an answer for it.
Caelph was around a long time, sorry if I miss anyone
Vahlen: Caelph was weary of following you, but tried in my first opportunity to have a leader position on C.F. When you interviewed him I remember mentioning he wasn't one for fighting. Though he'd do what he could for the war. Thanks for the induction. I'm looking forward to seeing what your religion is, good work. Sanorik: he did as you in the end, but still.. wish you had been around for me to learn a bit more. He enjoyed your company while he had it.
Vendalain: Your departure hurt Caelph alot, he looked up to you.
Dahza: what happened?
Jaggonath/Sulteris/Darbhi/Bonjo: you were all great, wish you hadn't deleted at that time, Sulteris.
Bladjix: You were like a rock, or an anchor. The time caelph asked you what you thought of the younger fighters and who might make a good marshal was very serious, I could count his deaths left at the time on one hand.
Tiberianus: Because of Caelph's background in falconry, he felt very close to you and your bird form. We thought along very similar lines, although you were more aggressive in persuing them. Caelph should of seen what was coming, as your actions became less and less reasonable. The only log I ever took was of the time we hit the Fortress for the Scepter/Biedenbach, perhaps I'll post it. If you hadn't gone and got yourself demoted/kicked out, I would of let Caelph Con die. I won't go into the rules of engagement.
Yarron: what happened?
Graintuillus: Caelph was glad to have you about, constant and dependable.
Szchada/Benlunkda: It was hard to talk to Szchada in the way Caelph spoke with Benlunkda. Caelph didn't like letting Szchada go, too dependable to have gone. I think I caught the connection with your second assassin and Benlunkda, they had some of the same beliefs. Caelph even mentioned they might have some interesting conversations together after his induction, without knowing for sure wether they were the same.
Zifnab: wish I saw you more often, our times seemed to come and go.
Terenvil: hello hello goodbye goodbye piggy
Burtykin: two words, Con Quest, well, one and a quarter. You were dedicated, and except for all your contributions to the carrion in Carrion Fields, Caelph valued your company greatly.
Village:
The one Villager Caelph respected more than any other was Tahren. He was a fine example, far from say, Nerylana, who someone once fittingly entitled 'the shadiest villager ever'... which from Caelph's perspective was most appropriate, I don't think he ever saw her alone, except when she HAD to be, as in defending. Loborguz, Caelph sweared you were a moss eater. Most of the time you fought alone, and well. Intronan, Caelph enjoyed your fights more than any other as they were so close, consistently.
Fortress: except for Disola, or those who embraced the village towards Caelph's end, liked most of you.
Satinka: I wish Caelph saw you recieve the book... enjoyed our conversations both before and after your lobotomy.
Ambrose: yes it can be cruel, thank you again.
Many I'm forgetting here.
Scions:
Hejduk: We came up around the same time, and perhaps you were the last one around that Caelph recognized from his youth, he both hated and enjoyed your company. forever the other?
Scarab:
Drucyrus: Another ancient, keep the flame alive. Not sure if we ever fought, Caelph was deathly afraid of Rot.
Entropy:
Nazgagua: Hated orcs, and ofcourse, you most of all... When you were around, Caelph was paranoid to walk the roads, too many times did he run into you on the roads north of Galadon. The time we ended up grouping, I knew Caelph was coming to an end soon... he had done something he never believed he'd do.
Iriogam: thanks for the guantlets
Elf Thief: didn't like you one bit, ofcourse, dying at the giant to 4 villagers while you tripped me didn't help at all. please, no comment on flight potions.
Sylvan:
Feralli: Kinsman and friend, where did you go. thanks for the time you spent with Caelph growing up.
Plyate: So long as Caelph was marshal, it wasn't going to be policy to raid the grove to help with the scepter, though it might of been done in his absence. was glad to speak with you when we could. Hope you like the painting Saldradien asked for.
Saldradien: Caelph was glad to see you advance and ascend, definitely deserved it. good luck
Jugynheim: peace
i'm sure I'll have more to say later, i'm tired. thanks to everyone Caelph interacted with, and thank you immortal staff for the game. I hope to play once again when I have the time.
Caelph
