Chapter 1

Although being born should be without shame, and a celebration,
when you are Osvolisso, you are born with a mutation that made
your skin transparent. This oddity of nature brought down the full
force of shame from the societies of Thera. Even the saurians
who accepted variation found Osvolisso's condition disgusting
and insulting. To see the pumping blood and organs through her
skin grossed out the children, and disgusted the aged adults.
Out of their mouths, their aura, and their very being came
waves of shame at Osvolisso even from a very early age.

"You are disgusting!", one child saurian would point.

"That onesss should never breed and be killed off." another
saurian adult would say.

This endless bombardment of Shame had a deep and disturbing
affect on Osvolisso. From that very young age, endlessly being
bombarded by these harmful words and actions, Osvolisso believed
it to her core. She would wince away and hide her face from
any who would come near. She absolutely hated being greeted
or talked to, or even worse, looked upon, as being looked
upon activated all the shame. She would hide herself in folds
of cloak from a very young age. To the point she was chased
out of the saurian village for being so disgusting, and so
she went to the Galadon shapeshifter guild to seek growth.

But that made it worse....

The saurian society was more forgiving than those of all
of the civilized societies. Even though they were brutal,
Osvolisso was not prepared for the sheer tidal wave of
shame, disgust, and bullying she received from a very
young age. It was an endless assault upon her self worth
and that assault continued to do deep and horrid damage.
