Chapter 4

* The offspring of a human man and high elven woman, Gwythienne grew up on the
border of Galadon in the lumberyards
* Her mother felt she needed to leave Darsylon, as the union with a human man was not welcomed there
* Growing up witness to her mother's situation fostered in Gwythienne a great
need for freedom
* Gwythienne feels a strong connection to water, and often thinks of life in terms of water metaphores
* She sought the magical school of the shapeshifter due to her desire for true
freedom and to flow like water
* She feels that every action, no matter how small, can cause great change along the stream of life
* She seeks to become a scribe in the Fortress to learn to nurture and heal
like water

Character Personality:

Gwythienne is an open and very emotionally connected person. She is very
empathetic to others. She is very nurturing and loving, wanting everyone
around her to be happy and at peace. If she sees a person struggling, she will
not hesitate to try to improve their situation. She has a good sense of humor
and a ready laugh. She is generous and kind. Gwythienne is at the same time a
bit mischievous. She values freedom above most things, and thus is likely to
act out if she feels too boxed in. At the extreme, this could result in
conflicts with authority. This value of freedom also makes her wish to teach
others who think differently, rather than punish them unless necessary. This
softer touch will set her apart from her Maran brethren.
