Chapter 1

Life is simple in the village. Hunt, eat, sleep, repeat. But some saurians wanted more.
What drove her parents to move, Danssha would never know. But move away they did and
life stopped being simple. The new forest and the new swamp just simply wasn't the same.
More strangers, big settlements and even a huge city nearby. Some youngsters ventured
off time and again and picked up drinking, something previously unheard in the society.

When she was still young and sleeping away in their hut, apparently some debauchery
took place nearby and her parents went outside to try to quell it. No one knew exactly
what happened or who did it, but they haven't come back, simply dead and murdered on
their doorstep, the scales thick with blood, the holes in multiple places from spears,
and with their heads seemingly bashed in. Waking up to a still silence, Danssha woke up
and was the first to find them. She was never the same.

Quiet anger at the whole world which would allow such cruelty filled her. But she quickly
found that just simply lashing out was fruitless, especially if one is young and frail.
Thus, it became imperative to train to become the best and the strongest. Then the
lashing out would not be seen as a stupid anger of a little girl, but rather a profound
demonstration of power by the one who has the right to be feared. Somewhat lacking in
physique, she has trained hard in the Arts and was very proud to be accepted into the
guild of Shifters, determined to be the best student and learn to harness the most
powerful transformations taught within. She knows she will be the best. She knows she
will be the most feared. She knows who will pay for her parents' death. The world.
