Alright, not my best joke but I was happy for the first time in as
many years. I'd finally done it and couldn't help but to laugh at
it all. Only cost me about five gold.

Five gold I would have to get back! I'd hired an assassin to kill
my idiot parents. They never cared much for me at all anyhow. They
wished I was born as a girl, probably because they thought I'd be
worth more to sell to the perverts in Hamsah. So from a young age
they dressed me in skirts and gave me dolls to play with. I hated
them with a passion and like all great passions I expressed it in
humor. I gathered my toys, flattened down my dressed and told them
many jokes to mask my depression.

All this time I dreamed about joining the Empire. A place where I
could finally become a real man and not some sorry excuse for one.
It was a hard thing to do, but I stopped scheming to get back my
five gold from the assassin and considered myself free to follow
this desire to join Imperial armies that had been growing deep in
me for many years. Five gold would be nothing compared to the vast
fortune I would accumulate in the service to the Throne.
