Chapter 1

No mortal ever knew where Gakken came from. His
appearance on Mount Kiadana-Rah was a mystery to
all of the High-standing Giants of the mountain.
Even more of a mystery was his appearance, as he
was quite a bit different from his kin, even as a'
child. The one factor which kept Gakken alive as
a small child was his strength. He was taller,
fiercer, and had more of a sense of combat than
most of his kin which he trained with. Many came
to fear him, and even moreso his personality, which
led him to random outbursts, and bred fear even
in his kinsman. Speculations were made that perhaps
he was a shamed offspring, perhaps of different races
of giants, but still no one was certain. Little did
anyone, especially Gakken, know where he had truly
come from.

In a way, Gakken was the child of divine. Not by birth,
but by creation, the result of a successful experiment
that would never be duplicated. His creators were a band
of renegade worshippers of Dra'Melkhur, who had come under
the influence of the infamed chaos imp. Their mission
was to create a mortal model of their lord. Raising new
life proved to be much more difficult than raising the
life of old, which they were accustomed to. The life'
cycle was difficult to break and the dark worshippers
nearly gave up on their task. There was a force that
watched them, however, pleased with their efforts, and
had desired their success, as he wished to see this creation
roam this world. It was at this time that a gathering of
the creators came together, in interest to discuss how
more they could birth their creation. Forces of chaos
watched with intent, knowing how far these mortals were
from creating the perfection of life. It was then, the Lord
intervened. In the sudden realization that life must be
destroyed to be created, The Lord came before them, and
told them their child would be created, but at great cost
to themselves. And thus, all seventeen of what could be
Gakken's parents were massaccred. Their beliefs and intelligence
were not put to waste. The Chaos Lord took from them the
qualities that he would deem his mortal child should have,
and placed it within Gakken. More Sacrifices were made, even
so far as to take the blood of lightwalkers as apart of Gakken,
so long as it fed his desire for blood and carnage.
It was then Gakken was materialized, from thin air, Birthed
as a Fire Giant who came from the skies, in the Mountains
of Kiadana-Rah.
