Chapter 2

Friblet of the clan Shadowpaw was born into a family of some of the most
notorious assassins of Blackclaw. Fame in their profession, however, had its
drawbacks. Once ordered to assassinate a prestigious noble, they did not
bank on his familys revenge. As good as his mother and father might have
been in the martial arts, nothing could stop the hail of flaming arrows that
tore into their home. Thankfully, and lucky for Friblet, his mothers
instincts saved him, as she took several arrows whilst standing over Friblet
protectively. Being as young as he was, there was no way for Friblet to
survive on his own. He was shipped off to the protection of his uncle, which
had a prestigious position working for the mayors office in Galadon.

His uncles influence upon the city granted Friblets entrance into the
Assassin guild to continue the family name, although the guildmaster was
onto Friblet his immense love of the law. Always, while they were walking
the streets of Galadon, he would explain the importance of law and order to
Friblet, and how it created beautiful thriving cities like this one by
protecting its inhabitants.

Unfortunately, his uncle never lived to see Friblet live to follow up on this
love of law. Whilst on one of these walks, a criminal came stampeding
through the market, in an attempt to slow him, his uncle threw himself in the
criminals path, blocking his escape route. The giant only paused to lift and
axe and cleave straight through Friblets uncle before continuing on his
flight from the law.

It was Friblets belief that it would have been his uncles wish to work in
the defense of the law, and after witnessing such a heinous act it was all
Friblet could do but pledge himself to the stop of continued crime.
