Chapter 3

The dreams have been haunting me, leaving only the ale to numb the pain and mage
skulls to lesson the rage. I see it almost time I slumber, your broken and
charred remains, losing everything I ever loved. You three were my all, and
reliving that sight over and over drives me mad, this ire cannae be quenched.
Every day I suffer with those nightmares swimming through my head and all I've
got left is turning the pain into anger, a fury like no storm I ever faced upon
the sea.

Gramaela, my love, my heart, my patience, how I miss you so. Reirhein my son and eldest
you were the courage I always kept, to be brave even in such a fearful world.
Aieyla, you were my passion, my joy, an the last part to fill my heart, my daughter.
Losing you three makes me feel as if I'm an empty husk, with nothing to live for.
Though, inside this husk lay a furiously burning heart, void of what you three
were to me, leaving only my rage and hatred inside, like a storm on the sea
that could destroy a mountain.

I'll only stand now, pushing forward through it all, with a heavy soul of
grief, through the hammers I once used for creating, now I only seek to destroy.
To destroy that which is magic and the mortals that wield it. The only warmth
I've left are the trinkets in me beard that allow me to remember you three, and even
would strike out at the gods if they ever be trying to take it.

I hope you do not look at me poorly for my decisions I've made since that day,
as I have chosen a violent path that allows me to do more than sulk and suffer
in the shadows of a bar, drinking my life away. I hope to see you all again,
when the ire in my heart forge goes cold and I lay to rest.
