Chapter 1

Isenbert's world view revolves around gaining power and the strategy
to achieve it.

He is meticulous in his study and aims to find a way that he can
achieve power. One might say, "A key to Power."

Feigning weakness is a tool.
Deception is a tool.
Surprise is a tool.
Timing is a tool.
Allies is a tool.
Black magic is a tool.

Power can be measured in various ways
weapon is an obvious measure, status in the cabal is yet another.

As for the story of Isenbert and the reason he is the way he is,
there's not a lot to tell. For generations the art of black magic has
occupied his bloodline. Many have been law enforcers, some have been
cult members, some just dabbled in research in secret dungeons with
screams echoing through corridors. It's in his blood.

Building on this tradition Isenbert continues to refine it and harness
it as a path to power, all in the name of order. Maybe one day he will
distill his knowledge and put it in written form and that way be
immortalized.
